  • Understood the differences between qualitative and quantitative data collection
  • Realized the importance of selecting the kind of data to collect according to the questions you need the data to answer
  • Gained a good understanding of the pros and cons of different data collection methods
  • Decided whether to use an instrument that has been used elsewhere, adapt an instrument or develop your own instruments
  • Learned how to make sure your instruments are appropriate for the local setting in which they will be applied
  • Decided who will collect the data and how they will be trained, as well as where and when data will be collected
  • Filled in columns 4, 5 and 6 of the Logical Framework
