Step 1: Focusing your M&E – Activities and Objectives

Now that you have developed your program (and your causal pathway, see Module 3: Your Objectives) you need to decide which activities and objectives you want to focus your monitoring and evaluation on. You may not have the resources to evaluate your entire intervention, especially if it is large and has many different components. You need to think about your goals for your M&E – what do you need to know and why? If you would like some guidance in thinking about your main evaluation questions and audiences please see Module 1: Getting Started.
